Hannah Markel Klang, Esq. – Merriman Legal, LLC
Hannah Klang is a partner with Merriman Legal, LLC and has been repeatedly recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyer magazine. As a former insurance defense attorney, Hannah brings a unique perspective to Merriman Legal. She has a clear understanding of the negotiation and litigation tactics of insurance companies and brings that insight into pursuing client claims, from minor car accidents to catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims. She strives to provide excellent representation for her clients and has developed a reputation for success and professionalism with both her clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel.
Outside of the practice of law, Hannah is a Cleveland West Sider and lives with her husband, firefighter/medic Kris, and their young son (who currently spends his time jumping from tall furniture). Hannah’s family helps provide her with the motivation to pursue claims on behalf of families who have suffered loss and injury as a result of another’s negligence or recklessness.
Notably, Hannah represents parents in claims against childcare providers who fail to properly care for the most vulnerable in our communities. Hannah is representing Mickhal Garrett, the biological father of Aniya Day-Garrett, and filed a civil lawsuit with the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court for the death of his 4-year-old daughter. In an effort to contribute to the safety of children, Hannah also serves as a Guardian ad Litem in Cuyahoga County.
Hannah is also an avid runner and recently ran her first half marathon. Hannah’s commitment to exercise and a healthy lifestyle informs her approach in fighting for her clients who can no longer engage in the activities they once enjoyed as the result of another’s negligence or recklessness. As someone who places a high value on health, Hannah strives to help her clients get back on their feet after injury or loss.
