Sandra L. Nimrick, a Senior Litigator at Merriman Legal, has a well-earned reputation for being a skilled litigator in Ohio, where she worked for three decades on a wide range of high-profile legal cases in the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.

A graduate of Brown University (Magna Cum Laude) and Harvard Law School, Ms. Nimrick moved to Northeast Ohio in 1989 and spent two years working as an associate for the law firm of Thompson Hine in Cleveland. She then spent 34 years (1991–2025) working as an Assistant Attorney General in the Cleveland Regional Office of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, where she was a member of the Workers’ Compensation Section and spent the last two years as a Principal Assistant Attorney General.

Throughout her career with the Attorney General’s Office, Ms. Nimrick litigated thousands of workers’ compensation court cases and handled all aspects of litigation, including discovery, settlement negotiations, dozens of trials, and appellate work in many state courts. She also served as a Team Leader/Supervisor for a number of years and mentored generations of attorneys in the office over three decades.

In 2025, Ms. Nimrick began working as a Senior Litigator for Merriman Legal, where she represents plaintiffs in all aspects of their personal injury matters.
