Wooster, OH (April 7, 2024) – Emergency crews were summoned to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the Wooster area on Thursday, April 4. Calls for assistance were received at around 7:50 p.m.
According to reports from the Wooster Police Department, a pedestrian was walking eastbound on Brookside Drive during the evening hours. As they began to travel along the roadway near Oakley Road, they were struck by an unknown vehicle, which was traveling eastbound. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene of the crash without stopping. The pedestrian, identified as a 14-year-old female from Wooster, Ohio, was injured in the crash. Wooster Fire Department EMS treated the victim before transporting her to Wooster Community Hospital for further care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
