Walton Hills, OH (January 23, 2024) – On Sunday, the Walton Hills Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident with injuries. The crash occurred at around 6:16 p.m. on January 21.
According to police reports, a bicyclist was heading east on Alexander Road. As the vehicle proceeded through the 18800 block of the roadway, it was struck from behind by a green 2013 Jeep Wrangler. The rider was ejected from the bicycle and thrown approximately 18 feet before landing on the side of the roadway. The bicyclist, identified as 32-year-old Michael Patrick Voland from Cleveland, Ohio, was injured in the crash. He was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
