Toledo, OH (May 15, 2024) – Emergency crews were summoned to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident that occurred in the Toledo area and ended in injuries. The crash took place at around 9:15 p.m. on Sunday, May 12.
Official reports indicate that a black 2015 Chevrolet Traverse was traveling northbound on Collingwood Boulevard. For reasons unknown, the driver of the vehicle ran a red light at the intersection with West Delaware Avenue. As a result, the vehicle collided with a black 2019 Jeep Compass. The impact of the crash caused the Jeep Compass to spin and strike a red 2012 Chevrolet Malibu, which was stopped at a red light. Injuries were reported as a result of the crash. One person involved in the accident, identified as 25-year-old Moramed Matellus of Lake Placid, Florida, was injured. The victim was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital for emergency care. The accident is being investigated.
