Garfield Heights, OH (April 20, 2024) – The Garfield Heights Police Department confirmed that a police chase led to a motor vehicle accident that left several people injured. The incident occurred on April 18.
According to area law enforcement, a police officer attempted to stop a Kia SUV that was reported stolen out of Cleveland. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without stopping, initiating a police chase. As the vehicle proceeded through the intersection of Lee Road and Libby Road, it collided with one additional vehicle. Multiple people in the second people were injured in the crash and provided medical care. The suspect was arrested after the incident. The crash is being investigated.
