Findlay, OH – Man & Child Injured in Auto Wreck on I-75

Findlay, OH (February 25, 2024) – Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol were called to the scene of an accident on Saturday that sent a man and a child to a local hospital with injuries. Calls for assistance came in just after 6:00 a.m. on February 24.

Authorities confirmed that a 2024 Honda CRV was traveling on Interstate 75 North when it collided with a 2013 Dodge Ram tow truck. The impact of the crash caused the Honda to catch on fire. The incident prompted the closure of the highway. A 12-year-old girl and 69-year-old man named John Scaccia, both from Dayton, Ohio, were extricated from the Honda by firefighters. The two injury victims were transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital for emergency treatment. At this time, the incident is being investigated.

We hope John Scaccia and the young child hurt in this crash recover quickly following this accident.
