Brooklyn, OH (January 30, 2024) – The Brooklyn Police Department confirmed that 18-year-old Kameron Aun Swanson was injured as a result of a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Sunday evening in Brooklyn. The accident was reported to law enforcement at approximately 9:30 p.m. on January 28.
According to reports provided by local police, a silver 2015 Mercedes-Benz, a gray 2015 Kia Optima, and a black 2015 Kia were all traveling eastbound on Interstate 480 during the evening hours. For unknown reasons, the Mercedes-Benz hydroplaned into the Kia Optima. The impact of the collision caused the Kia Optima to strike the black Kia.
The driver of the Mercedes-Benz, identified as 26-year-old Jeremy Jerron Rahmon, was charged with failure to control their vehicle. A passenger in the black Kia, identified as Swanson, was injured. Swanson was transported to Metro Cleveland Hospital by Brooklyn EMS for emergency care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
