Bowling Green, OH (March 7, 2024) – The Wood County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Tuesday evening in Bowling Green. The accident was reported at approximately 7:30 p.m. on March 5.
According to law enforcement reports, a white 2002 Ford F250 pickup truck was traveling southbound on Liberty Hi Road. At the same time, a white 2019 GMC Acadia was heading westbound on Ohio State Route 281. For reasons unknown, the driver of the Ford F250 pickup truck failed to stop at a posted stop sign. As a result, the vehicle proceeded through the intersection and collided with the GMC Acadia. The impact of the crash caused both vehicles to go off the side of the roadway, where one of them overturned.
Two people were injured in the accident. Weston EMS responded to the scene to care for 53-year-old Tab Arthur Tanner. He was then transported to Wood County Hospital for emergency treatment. The second victim, 31-year-old Haley Ann Reese, was treated at the scene by another EMS team and transported to Toledo ProMedica for emergency treatment. The incident is under investigation.
