Bedford, OH (March 1, 2024) – One person was transported to a local hospital with injuries following a motor vehicle accident on Thursday morning, February 29. The Bedford Police Department and area firefighters were called to the accident scene just before 7:40 a.m.
According to police reports, a blue 2015 Ford Edge was traveling south on Center Road. A black 2015 vehicle was traveling west on Talbot Drive. As the vehicles proceeded through the intersection, the driver of the black vehicle attempted to make a right turn onto the northbound side of Center Road but apparently crossed over the center lane and collided with the Ford Edge. The impact of the crash caused the Ford Edge to go off the roadway and collide with a utility pole.
One person was injured in the crash. The victim, identified as 58-year-old Latreese Jefferson, was transported to South Pointe Hospital for medical care. The incident is currently under investigation.
