North Canton, OH (August 8, 2024) – Emergency crews were requested to provide help at the scene of a car crash that occurred in the North Canton area and ended in injuries. Calls for assistance came in at around 1:45 p.m. on August 6.
According to law enforcement reports, a black 2017 Chevrolet Traverse was heading westbound on Applegrove Street Northeast while using the curb lane. At the same time, a 2013 Honda Odyssey was traveling eastbound on Applegrove Street Northeast while using the inside lane. As the vehicles approached the intersection of Starcliff Avenue Northwest, the driver of the Honda Odyssey attempted to make a left turn at the yellow light. While making the turn, the driver of the Honda Odyssey failed to yield the right-of-way to a Chevrolet Traverse. As a result, both vehicles collided. Multiple people were treated for injuries while at the scene.
EMS then transported 68-year-old Pamela Sheehan to Aultman Hospital for medical care. Three children, identified as a 7-year-old female, a 9-year-old male, and a 10-year-old male, were also transported to the same hospital. An additional EMS unit from the North Canton Fire Department transported 35-year-old Amber Lee Evans to Mercy Medical Center for treatment. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
We hope Pamela Sheehan, Amber Lee Evans, and the three children injured in this crash recover quickly.
