Cleveland, OH (March 23, 2024) – At around 10:35 a.m. on March 21, the Cleveland Police Department and firefighters were summoned to the scene of an automobile accident that sent one person to a local hospital with injuries.
Preliminary reports from the police show that the driver of a black 2021 Ford Escape stated that he was operating a vehicle while traveling west along Lorain Avenue. For reasons unknown, the driver of a white 2021 Kia Optima pulled out in front of the Ford Escape while attempting to make a left turn. The two vehicles collided, resulting in damage to both vehicles. One person was injured in the crash. EMS provided treatment to 22-year-old Joseph Darnell Beasley while at the scene. Beasley was then transported to MetroHealth Medical by Cleveland EMS for further medical care. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
