Bedford Heights, OH (April 5, 2024) – On April 3, emergency officials were notified that their assistance was needed at the scene of a motor vehicle accident that left two people injured. The accident was reported at around 9:10 a.m. on Wednesday.
According to official reports, a black 2018 Mercedes-Benz and a blue 2006 Volkswagen Passat were both traveling westbound in the right lane of Interstate 271. As the Mercedes proceeded through the area near mile marker 26, the Volkswagen Passat struck the Mercedes. Two people were injured as a result of the accident. The Bedford Heights Fire Department EMS responded to render aid to 68-year-old Vanessa Hinton. Hinton was transported to Marymount Hospital for further treatment. The second victim, identified as 28-year-old Joseph Taylor, was rendered aid by Oakwood Village EMS and transported to South Pointe Hospital. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
