Toledo, OH (May 17, 2024) – At around 9:35 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, the Toledo Police Department, firefighters, and emergency medical services were all requested at the scene of a motor vehicle accident that resulted in injuries.
Crash reports show that a gray 2021 Ford Edge was driving westbound on Berdan Avenue. As the vehicle attempted to make a left turn onto Upton Avenue, it collided with a pedestrian. Emergency crews responded to the scene and closed down the intersection. Authorities confirmed that the driver of the Ford Edge was unable to provide proof of insurance at the time of the accident. The driver received a citation. The pedestrian, 63-year-old Lorie Ann Stevenson, was injured in the crash. She was transported to Toledo Hospital for emergency medical care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
