Toledo, OH (April 19, 2024) – Officers with the Toledo Police Department were requested at the scene of a motor vehicle accident in which at least one person was injured. The collision occurred just before 2:30 p.m. on April 17.
According to TPD reports, the driver of a silver 2011 Nissan Sentra stated that they were stopped for a light on Douglas Road at the intersection just north of West Laskey Road. At the same time, an orange 2023 Kia Forte was traveling on the roadway behind the Nissan Sentra. For reasons unknown, the driver of the Kia Forte crashed into the rear of the Nissan Sentra. The driver of the Kia was cited for the accident. The driver of the Nissan, 49-year-old Anthony Scott Sr., was transported to St. Anne’s Hospital by EMS. At this time, investigations into the crash are ongoing.
