Toledo, OH (June 2, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Toledo area on Thursday evening ended in injuries. The Toledo Police Department was summoned to the scene at around 8:50 p.m. on May 30.
According to law enforcement reports, a white 2016 Mercedes-Benz CLA class was traveling southbound on Upton Avenue during the evening hours. As the vehicle attempted to make a left turn into a private driveway at 3730 Monroe Street, the driver failed to yield the right of way to a black 2005 Harley-Davidson, which was traveling northbound on the roadway. As a result, the vehicles collided.
The Harley-Davidson motorcycle then collided with a red 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan in the 2700 block of Upton Avenue. The driver of the Mercedes-Benz was cited for a right of way when turning left violation. The driver of the Harley-Davidson was injured in the crash. The victim, 34-year-old Isaiah Ballard, was transported to Toledo Hospital by Toledo Fire Department Medics 23. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
