North Olmsted, OH (April 17, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in North Olmsted caused injuries on Monday. The crash occurred at around 11:00 a.m. on April 15.
According to reports from local law enforcement, a gray 2009 Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on Columbia Road, Ohio State Route 252, toward Gessner Road. At the same time, a white 2011 vehicle was traveling westbound on Gessner Road. As both vehicles proceeded through the intersection, the Toyota Corolla struck the white vehicle. The impact of the collision caused the Toyota to go off the roadway and strike a metal fence. One person involved in the accident was injured. EMS responded to the scene to render aid to 65-year-old Michael Phillip Magvas. Mr. Magvas was then transported to Fairview Hospital for further care. The driver of the first vehicle, identified as 53-year-old Richard Troy, was cited for a traffic control device violation. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
