Lakewood, OH (May 21, 2024) – One person was transported to an area hospital for the treatment of injuries following a motor vehicle accident in Lakewood that occurred on Sunday afternoon, May 19. The Lakewood Police Department was called to the scene at around 3:40 p.m.
According to police reports, a white 2011 Honda Accord and blue 2013 Hyundai Elantra were both traveling southbound on West 117th Street. As the driver of the Hyundai Elantra began to slow down to come to a stop due to a vehicle in front of her slowing down to turn in the 1400 block of the roadway, the driver of the Honda Accord failed to slow down. As a result, the Honda Accord crashed into the rear of the Hyundai Elantra. The driver of the Hyundai was injured in the accident. The victim, identified as 23-year-old Lacey Farina, was transported to the Lakewood Emergency Department for medical care. At this time, investigations into the crash are ongoing.
