Toledo, OH (March 11, 2024) – An unknown number of people were transported to area hospitals with injuries following a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Sunday morning in Toledo. Calls for assistance were received by the Toledo Police Department, Toledo Fire and Rescue Department, and the Ohio Department of Transportation just after 7:00 a.m. On March 10.
According to local news sources, a Meijer semi-truck and two vehicles collided on Interstate 280. The force of the collision caused the semi-truck to go off the roadway through a guardrail, down an embankment, and into a pond near exit 11. Emergency officials responded to the scene and immediately shut down the two right lanes of the road while assisting. Medical personnel responded to the scene of the accident to provide care to all injured parties. Those who required further medical attention were transported to area hospitals. The police department is currently investigating.
