Toledo, OH (July 31, 2024) – The Toledo Police Department confirmed that 30-year-old Nicholas Reinhart lost his life as a result of a bicycle accident that occurred early Tuesday morning, July 30.
At around 2:40 a.m., Reinhart was riding a bicycle westbound on Alexis Road. At the same time, a white Dodge pickup truck was traveling on the same road and in the same direction. For reasons unknown, the pickup truck struck Reinhart. After the initial collision, Reinhart was dragged for several yards. The pickup truck fled the scene of the crash without stopping. Reinhart was severely hurt in the crash. He was rushed to an area hospital, where he passed away from his injuries. At this time, the Toledo Police Department is investigating.
