Toledo, OH (July 3, 2024) – One person was transported to a local hospital with injuries following a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Sunday evening, June 30. Authorities were called to the scene at around 8:20 p.m.
According to reports from the Toledo Police Department, a gold vehicle was traveling westbound on George Street while approaching Cherry Street during the evening hours. At the same time, a silver 2009 Pontiac G6 was traveling northbound on Cherry Street while approaching George Street. As the vehicles proceeded toward the intersection, the driver of the gold vehicle failed to come to a complete stop. As a result, the vehicle proceeded forward and collided with the Pontiac G6.
The impact of the crash caused the Pontiac G6 to cross the road into oncoming traffic. The vehicle then collided with a curb, a tree, and a brick pillar. The vehicle was severely damaged and had to be towed from the scene. The driver of the Pontiac G6 was injured in the accident. The Toledo Fire Department EMS treated 29-year-old Ashley Lytle at the scene before transporting her to St. Vincent Hospital. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
