Sylvania Twp., OH (July 1, 2024) – Authorities in Sylvania Township were summoned to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that resulted in injuries. The police and firefighters were informed of the accident at around 8:20 p.m. on June 29.
According to police reports, a red 2018 Honda CR-V was traveling northwest on North Holland Sylvania Road during the evening hours. As the vehicle approached Renaissance Place while utilizing the curb lane, a silver 2004 Lincoln Town Car, which was traveling southeast on the roadway, attempted to make a left turn. The driver of the Lincoln failed to yield the right of way. As a result, the two vehicles collided. Both vehicles were severely damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Four people were hurt in the crash. EMS rendered aid to 67-year-old Linda Hilinski, 83-year-old Margaret Brack, 65-year-old Colleen Hood, and 88-year-old Marlene Consoer. All four victims were then transported to Flower Hospital for further care. The crash is currently being investigated.
