Solon, OH (January 26, 2024) – The Solon Police Department responded to the scene of a car crash that took place on Thursday afternoon and ended in injuries. Calls for assistance came in at around 1:45 p.m. on January 25.
According to SPD reports, a 2020 Chevrolet Trax and a 2018 GMC Canyon were both heading eastbound in the left lane of US Highway 422. As the vehicles approached Harper Road, the GMC Canyon proceeded into the right lane to pass the Chevrolet Trax when the two vehicles collided. The Chevrolet sustained damage to the front passenger side area of the vehicle. The impact of the crash caused the driver of the GMC Canyon to lose control of their vehicle and collide with a guardrail. One person involved in the accident, identified as 23-year-old Savannah Rose Stapp, was injured in the crash. She was transported by Solon Fire Department to Hillcrest Hospital for medical care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
