Pepper Pike, OH (February 22, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Pepper Pike ended in injuries yesterday. The Pepper Pike Police Department received calls for help at around 1:30 p.m. on February 21.
According to PPPD reports, the driver of a white 2023 vehicle stated that they were traveling on the slip ramp exit lane from the northbound side of Interstate 271 Express to the local lanes when a black 2023 Subaru Legacy crossed the solid white line and entered the slip ramp. The driver of the white vehicle swerved to avoid striking the Subaru Legacy. However, both vehicles collided, causing the white vehicle to go left over the median before re-entering the roadway and coming to rest in the express lane right berm.
The driver of the Subaru Legacy stated that they were already in the lane when the white vehicle entered. One person involved in the accident, identified as 35-year-old Cory Sullivan of Mentor on the Lake, Ohio, was injured in the accident and transported to Hillcrest Hospital for treatment. Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation due to the conflicting stories.
