Westlake, OH (May 9, 2024) – One woman was injured in a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the Westlake area on Wednesday, May 8. The Westlake Police Department and firefighters were called to the scene of the collision at around 12:45 p.m.
Reports from authorities show that the driver of a red 2021 vehicle was stopped for traffic on the southbound side of Crocker Road at the intersection of Market Street. For unknown reasons, the driver of a black 2009 vehicle failed to ensure a clear distance ahead. As a result, the black vehicle crashed into the rear of the red vehicle. One person involved in the crash was injured. The Westlake Fire Department EMS responded to the scene to render aid to 23-year-old Hannah Michele Dieterich. She was then transported to UH St John Medical Center for further treatment. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
