According to reports from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 36-year-old Tarin Hoffman was driving north on Ohio Route 13 in a 2004 Dodge Dakota. As he proceeded forward, his vehicle collided with a 2015 Subaru Outback. The impact of the crash caused the Dodge to overturn. The incident prompted the closure of the roadway.
A passenger in the Dodge, identified as 48-year-old Nathan Phillips, was fatally injured in the crash. He was pronounced deceased by authorities. Hoffman and one additional passenger, 40-year-old Shannon Spicer, were both injured. The two victims were transported to OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital for medical care.
