Warrensville Heights, OH (July 8, 2024) – Emergency crews were summoned to provide assistance at the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Sunday that resulted in injuries. Police received a notification of the accident at around 3:10 p.m. on July 7.
Official reports show that a black 2015 Mercedes-Benz C class was driving southbound on Interstate 271 while utilizing the number two lane. At the same time, a gray 2021 Volkswagen Jetta was driving in the same direction in the number one lane. As the driver of the Volkswagen attempted to switch lanes, the two vehicles collided. The impact of the crash sent the Mercedes-Benz off the roadway, where it collided with a guardrail.
Three people involved in the accident were injured. Emergency medical services provided treatment to 65-year-old Sylvia Hawkins, 33-year-old Tyler Pulliam, and 25-year-old Sparkle Jordan. All three victims were transported to Hillcrest Hospital for further treatment. At this time, investigations into the accident are underway.
