Toledo, OH (February 8, 2024) – Two people lost their lives following a motor vehicle accident on the Veterans’ Glass City Skyway bridge. The accident occurred just before 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 7.
According to reports from the Toledo Police Department, a semi-truck collided with a silver sedan on the southbound side of Interstate 280, approximately 100 yards south of the exit for Front Street. The Ohio Department of Transportation reported that the accident prompted the closure of all southbound lanes extending from Greenbelt Parkway back toward Front Street.
Two people involved in the accident were fatally injured. The victims were identified as 19-year-old Joslyn Jones and 30-year-old Jessee Petit. No other injuries were reported. Investigations are currently ongoing.
