Toledo, OH (April 23, 2024) – The Toledo Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Sunday evening and ended in injuries. At around 6:50 p.m. on April 21, authorities were called to a crash on Eleanor Avenue.
Preliminary reports show that a red 2014 Kia Rio was traveling south on Lewis Avenue. As the vehicle proceeded through the intersection of Eleanor Avenue, it failed to stop at a red light while turning left. As a result, the Kia Rio collided with a white 2017 Lincoln MKZ, which was traveling north on Lewis Avenue. The driver of the Kia Rio fled the scene of the crash. The driver of the Lincoln, 33-year-old Kelly Perry, was injured in the accident. The victim was treated at the scene and transported to Toledo Hospital for further care. The crash is being investigated.
