Stow, OH (February 16, 2024) – Authorities confirmed that one person was injured as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Wednesday afternoon, February 14.
Reports from the Stow Police Department indicate that at approximately 3:10 p.m., a white 2015 Kia Rio was driving north on Darrow Road. As the vehicle proceeded through the intersection of Kent Road, it collided with a black 2023 Volkswagen Jetta, attempting to make a left-hand turn at the intersection. The driver of the Volkswagen was issued a citation for failing to yield the right-of-way at an intersection.
The driver of the Kia was injured. The victim, identified as a 17-year-old female from Tallmadge, Ohio, was transported to Children’s Hospital by the Stow Fire Department EMS for further medical care. The Stow Police Department is investigating.
