Springfield, OH (April 14, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident with injuries was reported on Friday evening, April 12.
Reports from the Ohio State Highway Patrol show that at around 7:04 p.m., a red 2018 Volvo XC60 was traveling southbound on Pickle Road. At the same time, a silver 2008 Pontiac G6 was traveling eastbound on Killian Road while approaching Pickle Road. For reasons unknown, the driver of the Volvo failed to yield the right-of-way from a stop sign. As a result, the Volvo collided with the Pontiac. The driver of the Volvo was cited for a right-of-way violation. A child in the Pontiac was injured. The victim, a 12-year-old girl, was transported by Springfield EMS to Akron Children’s Hospital for emergency treatment. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
