Solon, OH (May 12, 2024) – Two people were transported to area hospitals with injuries following a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Friday evening in Solon. Authorities were called to the scene of the crash at around 5:10 p.m. on May 10.
According to police reports, a 2005 Ford Mustang was traveling eastbound on US Route 422 while utilizing the left lane. The Ford Mustang was traveling behind a 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLC just one mile west of Harper Road. As the driver of the Mercedes-Benz GLC applied their brakes abruptly due to a vehicle in front of them, the Ford Mustang crashed into the rear of the Mercedes-Benz GLC.
The driver of the Ford was cited for failing to maintain enough distance between their vehicle and the one ahead. Two people were injured in the crash. Paramedics responded to the scene and rendered aid to a 17-year-old male and 56-year-old Murad Demirjian. The teen was transported to a local hospital for medical care. Demirjian was transported to UH Ahuja Medical Center for further care. At this time, the crash is being investigated.
