Perrysburg, OH (March 21, 2024) – On March 19, emergency crews were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the Perrysburg area that ended in injuries. The police and firefighters in Perrysburg were notified of the accident at around 8:30 a.m.
According to police reports, a gray 2017 Jeep Patriot was stopped for traffic on East Front Street, Ohio State Route 65, near Locust Street. At the same time, a silver 2014 Toyota Corolla was traveling eastbound on State Route 65. For unknown reasons, the driver of the Toyota Corolla became distracted and did not see traffic stopped ahead. As a result, the Toyota Corolla crashed into the rear of the Jeep Patriot.
One tow truck was requested at the scene to remove at least one of the involved vehicles. One person involved in the accident was injured. The victim, 30-year-old Taylor Rochelle Fischer of Metamora, Ohio, was transported to Toledo Hospital for emergency care. The driver of the Toyota was cited for a speed limit violation (4511.21A). Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
