Northwood, OH (February 12, 2024) – One person was transported to a local hospital with injuries following a motor vehicle accident in the Northwood area. The Northwood Police Department was notified of the crash at around 6:50 p.m. on February 10.
According to reports, a dark blue 2016 Jeep Compass was heading westbound through the intersection of Wales Road and Tracy Road during the evening hours. At the same time, a gray 2019 Dodge Journey was traveling through the same intersection. The driver of the Dodge Journey stated that she did not see the Jeep Compass. As a result, the two vehicles collided. One person involved in the crash was injured. The victim, 43-year-old Angelina Santa Maria Schilt, was transported by Northwood EMS to Mercy Health — St. Charles Hospital in Toledo for emergency care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
