Nimishillen, OH (January 26, 2024) – On January 24, the Ohio State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of a car crash that took place in the Township of Nimishillen and ended in injuries. Authorities were called to the scene at approximately 6:55 p.m.
According to reports provided by law enforcement, a black 2017 GMC Terrain was heading southbound on Ohio State Route 44 while traveling in the right lane. At the same time, a black 2018 Toyota Sequoia was heading northbound on the roadway in the left lane. For reasons unknown, the Toyota Sequoia failed to yield the right of way while turning in the area near US Highway 62. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
The impact of the crash sent the GMC Terrain off the right side of the roadway, where it collided with a guardrail. The driver of the GMC, identified as 39-year-old Andrea Nicole Moretta, was injured. She was transported to Aultman Hospital for medical care following the crash. At this time, the incident is being investigated by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
