Mount Vernon, OH (May 3, 2024) – A motorcycle accident involving a semi-truck claimed one person’s life on Thursday evening, May 2. The incident occurred at around 4:35 p.m.
According to reports from local news sources, a motorcycle and a semi-truck collided on Columbus Road at the intersection of South Main Street. The involved vehicles came to rest blocking the center of the roadway. The Mount Vernon Police Department responded and immediately shut down the roadway. The motorcyclist, identified only as a male victim, was pronounced deceased at the scene due to his injuries. No other injuries were reported. The police department is currently investigating the accident with the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
