Massillon, OH (February 21, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Stark County left one person injured. The incident was reported to law enforcement at around 1:30 p.m. on February 19.
According to reports provided by the Massillon Police Department, a red 2010 Volkswagen Jetta was heading westbound on US Highway 30. At the same time, a white 2021 Volvo was traveling eastbound on the same roadway. As the two vehicles approached mile marker nine, the driver of the Volkswagen Jetta lost control of their vehicle.
The vehicle veered left off the roadway and crossed through the emergency vehicle turnaround. The vehicle then spun clockwise into the eastbound lane when it collided with the Volvo. After the collision, the Volvo began to veer right on the roadway. One person involved in the accident was injured. The victim, identified as a 17-year-old female, was transported to Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio, for medical care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
