Lakewood, OH (April 26, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident involving a bicyclist reported in the Lakewood area caused injuries late Wednesday morning. The Lakewood Police Department and area firefighters responded to the scene at around 11:11 a.m. on April 24.
According to police reports, a white 2019 Lincoln MKT was traveling westbound on Detroit Avenue in the area near Wyandotte Avenue. At the same time, a bicyclist was traveling westbound on the roadway. For unknown reasons, the vehicle collided with the bicycle near the 13900 block of the roadway. The bicyclist, identified as 44-year-old Ralph Hutchison, was injured in the accident. EMS treated the victim at the scene before transporting him to Cleveland Clinic – Lakewood Emergency Department for further medical care. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
