Lakewood, OH (June 24, 2024) – The Lakewood Police Department and firefighters were requested at the scene of a car crash that occurred during the morning hours on Saturday, June 22.
Around 7:10 a.m., a gray 2023 Honda Civic was traveling southbound on Cook Avenue. As the vehicle proceeded through the area just north of Clifton Boulevard, it collided with a white 2015 Toyota Sienna. The incident prompted the closure of the intersection. EMS responded to care for 27-year-old Baptista Hope Maruho. Maruho was then transported to Lakewood ER for emergency care. One additional person involved in the crash, identified as Francesca Brin Cirpriano, was cited for violating a flashing traffic signal. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
