Independence, OH (February 7, 2024) – On February 5, the Independence Police Department and local firefighters responded to the scene of a car crash that took place during the evening hours.
At approximately 9:55 p.m., a black 2013 Lincoln MKZ and a white 2012 Toyota Corolla were both traveling northbound on Interstate 77 near Rockside Road. As the two vehicles attempted to yield to an emergency vehicle that was responding to an accident, the Toyota Corolla crashed into the rear of the Lincoln MKZ. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene. One person involved in the accident was injured. The victim, identified as 22-year-old Jujuan Anthony Miller of Maple Heights, Ohio, was transported by Seven Hills EMS to Marymount Hospital for emergency treatment. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
