Hudson, OH (June 26, 2024) – The Hudson Police Department and firefighters were requested at the scene of a motor vehicle accident that sent at least one person to a local hospital with injuries. The crash occurred at around 7:10 a.m. on June 25.
Official reports show that a white 2013 Kia Optima Hybrid was traveling eastbound on Barlow Road during the morning hours. As the vehicle proceeded forward, a black 2024 Honda failed to yield the right of way to the vehicle. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
Three people involved in the crash were injured. Hudson EMS responded to the crash to render aid to 42-year-old Lucie Uzamukunda, 48-year-old Jean Bosco Rurinda, and 30-year-old Kayihura Mbanjimbere. The three victims were then transported to Cleveland Clinic for further medical care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
