Highland Heights, OH (May 30, 2024) – At around 11:10 p.m. on May 28, emergency crews were summoned to the scene of a car crash that sent one person to a local hospital with injuries.
According to area police reports, a silver 2017 Ford Edge was traveling eastbound on Avion Park Drive during the evening hours while approaching Bishop Road. At the same time, a light green 2013 Ford Escape was traveling directly behind the vehicle. The driver of the Ford Edge stopped their vehicle abruptly due to a vehicle stopping on the road ahead for a red light at the intersection. The Ford Escape then crashed into the rear of the Ford Edge. One person involved in the accident was injured. EMS responded to the scene to render aid to 54-year-old Lachone Scott. Scott was then transported to Hillcrest Hospital for further medical care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
