Franklin Twp., OH (April 1, 2024) – Several people have lost their lives due to a fatal collision that occurred early Sunday morning in Morrow County. The crash was reported to law enforcement at around 2:40 a.m. on March 31.
According to official reports, 26-year-old Salvador Alfaro Castaneda was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee on Interstate 71 when his vehicle collided with a 2020 Hyundai Tucson on the southbound side of the roadway near mile marker 152. Authorities arrived on-site and secured the roadway.
Multiple victims involved in the accident were fatally injured. Authorities pronounced 50-year-old Ivonne Olvera and 31-year-old Cristal Galloso Olvera deceased while on-site. The driver of the Hyundai, 32-year-old Larry Dotson, and his passenger, 32-year-old Marlee S Middleton, were also both pronounced deceased at the scene. Castaneda was severely injured in the crash and rushed to a hospital in Mansfield for emergency care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
