Cleveland, OH (June 9, 2024) – On June 6, the Cleveland Police Department and local firefighters responded to the scene of a car crash in which one person was hurt.
At around 9:00 a.m., the driver of a white 2019 Ford Fusion stated that she was heading northbound on Broadway Avenue toward Cable Avenue. For reasons unknown, the driver of the gray 2013 Ford Focus turned left in front of her vehicle without yielding. As a result, the two vehicles collided. The driver of the Ford Focus provided a conflicting statement, saying that she was stopped at the intersection when a Mercedes traveling on the roadway shielded her view, causing the accident to take place. The Ford Focus was pushed off the roadway, causing it to collide with a utility pole.
One person was injured in the accident. Emergency medical services responded to the scene to care for 36-year-old Lanisa Lynn Rucker. Rucker was then transported by Cleveland EMS to MetroHealth Medical. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
