Canton, OH – Two Injured in Car Crash on Tuscarawas St W

Canton, OH (March 19, 2024) – Two people were transported to area hospitals with injuries following a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Sunday morning, March 17. The Canton Police Department and firefighters were dispatched to the crash site just after 1130 a.m.

Preliminary reports indicate that a red 2017 Dodge Journey was traveling westbound on Tuscarawas Street West when the driver failed to stop at a stop light at the intersection of McKinley Avenue Northwest. As a result, the Dodge Journey collided with a gold 2008 Chevrolet Malibu, which was traveling southbound through the intersection. Two people were hurt in the crash. Canton Fire-EMS responded to the scene to render aid to 50-year-old Amy Leah Rivers and 35-year-old Michael Jay Roden, both of Canton, Ohio. The two injured parties were transported to Aultman Hospital for further treatment. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
