Canton, OH (April 18, 2024) – One person was transported to a local hospital with injuries following a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Canton. The Canton Police Department was notified of the accident at around 9:00 a.m. on April 16.
According to official reports, a brown 2010 Ford Taurus was traveling eastbound on Tuscarawas Street West. The driver reportedly ran a red light at the intersection with Maryland Avenue Southwest. As the vehicle proceeded forward, it collided with a black 2013 vehicle, which was traveling north on Maryland Avenue Southwest. The driver of the Ford was cited for a red light violation. The driver of the black vehicle was injured. The victim, identified as 35-year-old Jennifer Dawn Lendon, was transported to Autlman Hospital for medical care. The police department is investigating the accident.
