Canton, OH (May 5, 2024) – Three people were transported to area hospitals with injuries following a motor vehicle accident involving an East Sparta Fire Department tanker truck. The incident occurred at around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 4.
According to reports, the fire tanker truck was traveling in the 2800 block of Faircrest Street Southwest while heading towards a fire at the PSC Metals facility in Canton Township. For reasons unknown, that truck collided with a second vehicle on the roadway. The impact of the crash caused the truck to flip over and come to rest on its side. The driver and two additional victims were injured in the crash. All three victims were transported to area hospitals for medical care. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating.
