Brook Park, OH (May 25, 2024) – At around 9:45 p.m. on May 22, emergency crews were summoned to the scene of a car crash that occurred on Ohio State Route 17.
According to local law enforcement reports, a black 2018 vehicle was driving east on Ohio State Route 17. While stopped at a red light at the intersection of West 137th Street, the vehicle was struck in the rear by a silver 2004 vehicle. One person in the black vehicle was injured. The victim, 60-year-old Muntaser Bellah Alrefai, was transported to Fairview Hospital for emergency medical treatment. The driver of the second vehicle, 19-year-old Elijah Mundell Burns, was cited for failing to ensure clear distance. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
