Broadview Heights, OH (June 11, 2024) – One person was injured in a motor vehicle accident that took place on Sunday evening in Broadview Heights. The Broadview Heights Police Department responded to the scene at around 7:20 p.m. on June 9.
Police reports indicate that a white 2013 vehicle was traveling northbound on Broadview Road during the evening hours. As the vehicle proceeded through the intersection of Avery Road, it collided with a southbound black 2019 Jeep Cherokee, which turned left at the intersection. Both vehicles were severely damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
One person involved in the accident, identified as 61-year-old Myroslava Lobur-Downey, was injured. She was transported to Metro Hospital Brecksville for emergency care. The driver of the Jeep Cherokee was taken into police custody for a right-of-way violation at the intersection and for operating a vehicle while impaired. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
