Bedford, OH (March 27, 2024) – One person was transported to a local hospital with injuries following an automobile accident that occurred on Tuesday morning in Bedford. The accident was reported to the Bedford Police Department and firefighters at around 11:55 a.m. on March 26.
Preliminary investigations show that a red 2008 vehicle was traveling westbound on Rockside Road in the late morning hours while utilizing the left center lane. At the same time, a white 2007 Kenworth T600 was traveling east on Rockside Road in the left turn lane. For unknown reasons, the driver of the Kenworth T600 failed to yield the right-of-way while turning at the intersection with Broadway Avenue. As a result, the red vehicle and Kenworth T600 collided. One person was injured in the accident. The victim, 32-year-old Sharisse Lanae Brown, was transported to Hillcrest Hospital by Bedford Fire Department EMS. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
